You may as well buy it if you're going to use it. It asks you to give 5* ratings until you do, so I guess that's where the good ratings come from. Ads come up randomly and are time-based. So I died in Zelda numerous times because it doesn't pause the emulator when the ads come up. Super frustrating. As far as features, I don't really see any benefit of this over any other emulators out there. **Edit** I haven't used this app since yesterday and today it ate up 15% battery in the background.

Ok, so the app works great, only one thing bothers me. I connect a (PS/Xbox) controller in order to fully immerse myself in the joys of novelty NES games only to wake up looking at myself destroying the right-side buttons and the *START/SELECT* ones. Only the d-pad and left joy-stick work. The L(1,2), R(1,2) and joy-stick buttons are also useless. *Edit: I'm using a wired controller (without BT) and the emu doesn't seem to detect it like this, so it won't enable the Controller Preferences.

Thanks for your feedback. You can connect your device to the controller via Bluetooth. Then go to Gamepad Preferences - Select Profile or Edit Profile to set the buttons.

With options like Saving the game progress and customizable controllers and considering the nostalgic feelings it activates all while being FREE, this is easily one of my favorite apps! It might take some time to get used to playing it on a phone's relatively tiny screen, but right now I'm totally enjoying it! Ofcourse it would be even better if you could add the names of the games to the app so we could find what we're looking for more easily!
